Next Wednesday will be the third time I’ve been blessed enough to attend the BlissDom Conference. For the second year in a row, I get to be a Community Leader – which is like being a camp counselor at the coolest camp around!!!
You guys, I can’t even tell you how much I love this part of my life. I love blogging, I love connecting with others, I love expressing myself through my writing. But of all of that, my favorite part is putting having the opportunity to create real, lasting friendships. And that happens at BlissDom.
I have been to several different conferences, and while they all have their merit and value, this is the only one I’ve attended that focuses so much on the whole person. This is the one conference that acknowledges that we are so much more than writers, bloggers, photographers, wives, women and mothers. This holistic approach to a conference ensures that we not only learn how to better our brand, our writing, our skills – but how to better ourselves.
In a Facebook thread recently, someone asked Alli Worthington (co-founder of BlissDom) what it felt like to see something she had once dreamed of, become this reality that uplifts and encourages so many women. I love her answer.
There’s just so much good in the room, so much possibility and it overwhelms me. Mostly I feel an overwhelming sense of responsibility. I watch where I think the community is going, what the trends are and where I observe pain points and issues that need to be addressed. Then I gather speakers on topics that people need to hear whether they know they need it or not. That’s why I added life development and other tracks.
Like I said, a holistic approach to a conference. Because the Bliss Chicks know that to truly be successful, you can not only focus on one area of your life. You need to focus on the whole woman, to become your best self, and when you do that, you can give to the rest of the world.
I look forward with much anticipation to a lovely road trip with my dear friends Sherry and Ellen, staying up way too late talking with Sara Sophia, Ashleigh, Elaine, Piper, and Jennifer. I can’t wait to break bread with those I love, mentor newer bloggers and make connections to last a lifetime.
Next week is my week. My week to rediscover my bliss.

I can’t wait to seeee you!
I can’t wait to meet you!
