Minted – Not Your Average Annoucements

I am a sucker for a great card. I love business cards, greeting cards, baby announcements, and wedding announcements. I love how many options there are now for finding the perfect way to let the world know your big news.

When I got married, 11 years ago, the options were pretty limited. We did order and design our announcements online, but it was something very new and there were not many choices. I didn’t do baby announcements with Emma, Seth or Amelia – something I now regret. When Libby was born I had a photo announcement made, but it turned out looking very green, so I still have 25 cards sitting in my closet. When Elliott was born I had some darling cards made and am so glad I did.

Now that I am getting ready to have yet another child, I know that I really want to do this again. I love designing something that fits the personalities of our family and our new baby.

Recently I stumbled upon Minted. I quickly realized this is not your average company with average announcements. Whatever you need for planning your occasion, Minted has it.  Baby announcements baby shower invites, birthday invites, wedding announcements and even save the date cards! Each card is printed on high quality thick paper. They have several designers creating new designs daily. If you are a designer, you can even make something and submit it to be sold in their shop.

One thing I really love are the different options you have for announcing your big news. Since I am in baby mode, I will share with you a few of my favorite ideas for baby announcements.

I love the scalloped edges on this card. It just adds something so sweet, special and out of the ordinary.

Or how about a magnetic announcement? Oh I love this idea!! Who doesn’t want a cute baby on their refrigerator staring at them when they go to get a treat?

Maybe you have a lot of great photos of the birth or your sweet bundle you want to share. A Minted Minibook would be perfect for that. What a fun way to share the newest member of your family.

Or maybe you are a traditionalist who wants just a sweet postcard to share your news. Whatever it is, Minted has it.

With hundreds of designs to choose from, there is something that is sure to please everyone!

The great folks at Minted have offered to give one of YOU $50 to spend in their shop.

For the Love of Mangos

For 2 years, Jeremy lived in Ecuador. In that time, he learned a lot of things and to tolerate a lot of different foods. The one food he never had a problem with though, were mangoes. Fresh off the tree, still warm and juicy, after 13 years he still dreams about them. One of my children’s favorite fruits, mangos are a common sight in our home. They love when we cut up the mango and give them the pit to clean for us. We love to eat mangos and when the National Mango Board gave us the opportunity, we were thrilled to try several new treats. Mango sorbet anyone? Oh yes, this was heavenly – a hint of lime and coconut and the tangy sweetness of mangoes – it didn’t even last one night in my house! My children are big shrimp fans, so when given the chance to have coconut shrimp with mango dipping sauce, my little foodies were pretty excited. My family loves mangos and I am glad. They are so good for them!

  • A one-cup serving of mangos is just 100 calories
  • Mangos provide 100% of your daily vitamin C, 35% of your daily vitamin A and 12% of your daily fiber

With nutrition like that, I find it hard to tell them no! The National Mango Board asked me to share a video with you about mangoes and I wanted to share with you one of our favorite ways to eat them. Now, don’t get jealous because I am such an amazing Vlogger and my kitchen is so clean. Just keepin’ it real y’all! Tell me, what are your family’s favorite fruits and veggies?? What unique ways do you prepare them?

The National Mango Board challenged me to spend a week creating healthier eating and snacking habits for my family. Join the conversation and one of my readers will receive a cookbook and a chance to win a shipment of mangos and $200 gift card to Williams-Sonoma.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of National Mango Board. The opinions and text are all mine. Official Sweepstakes Rules.
